Peroutka-Baldwin Ticket Added to Washington & Pennsylvania Ballots; Additions Make Victory Possible
Pasadena, Md.—Michael A. Peroutka, Constitution Party candidate for president, issued the following statement in response to the news that the Constitution Party ticket has been officially added to the Pennsylvania and Washington state ballots. Dr. Chuck Baldwin of Pensacola, Fla., is the vice-presidential running mate.
The addition of these states means that the Peroutka-Baldwin ticket is now on a properly apportioned number of ballots to make an electoral victory possible.
“It is very pleasing to know that the hard work of our volunteers and petitioners has now brought us to the point that we have the necessary ballot access to win the presidency this November.
“Unfortunately, this fact will do nothing to break the chokehold that the Republican and Democrat parties currently have over the presidential debate process.
“I believe that every candidate for the presidency of these United States, who achieves the necessary ballot access to allow for a possible victory, should be included in the events hosted by the Presidential Debate Commission.
“The American electorate should be trusted to choose who their leaders ought to be without the control, interference or manipulation currently being exerted on the process by the Republican and Democrat parties.”
The Constitution Party expects to be on no less than 40 of the 50 state ballots this election season.
The Constitution Party is currently certified on the ballot in the following 25 states (State: Electors):
Alaska: 03; Arkansas: 06; California: 55; Colorado: 09; Delaware: 03; Florida: 27; Idaho: 04; Maryland: 10; Michigan: 17; Minnesota: 10; Mississippi: 06; Montana: 03; Nebraska: 05; Nevada: 05; New Jersey: 15; New Mexico: 05; Ohio: 20; Oregon: 07; Pennsylvania: 21; South Carolina: 08; South Dakota: 03; Utah: 05;Vermont: 03; Washington: 11; Wisconsin: 10. The Constitution Party total potential electoral votes to date: 271.
