Peroutka-Baldwin Presidential Campaign Receives Endorsement of ‘100% Pro-Life PAC’
July 19, 2004
Pasadena, Md.—Michael A. Peroutka, Constitution Party presidential nominee, and Dr. Chuck Baldwin, the party’s vice-presidential candidate, have issued the following statement in response to the news that their ticket has been endorsed by the “100% Pro-Life PAC.”
“It is a great honor to receive the support of such a fine organization whose dedication to defending the lives of innocent, unborn American babies is second-to-none. This organization is composed of the preeminent leaders of the pro-life movement.
“Our Declaration of Independence unequivocally states that our unalienable rights, including the right-to-life, are granted to us by our Creator. The Constitution does not contain any exceptions to this guarantee and neither should our public policy or our laws.
“When the crime of rape or incest has been committed against a woman, the full force of the law should be used to punish the guilty party—the person guilty of committing the act of rape or incest, not the innocent human baby that may be a result of those actions. Trying to convince a mother already deeply scared by the violence perpetrated against her to be complicit in the act of taking her baby’s life will only further damage her.
“As president of the United States, I will do everything in my power to end legalized abortion beginning on my first day in office. No longer will the hard-earned dollars of our American people be misappropriated to pay for abortions here or abroad. No longer will the federal government subsidize Planned Parenthood or others who advocate infanticide.”
The “100% Pro-Life PAC” was founded in 1984 by Kathy Coll. The PAC’s board of advisors includes Colleen Parro, Republican National Coalition for Life; Fr. Thomas Euteneuer, Human Life International; Judie Brown, American Life League; Mark Crutcher, Life Dynamics International; Jim Sedlak, STOPP International; Joseph Sobran, author; Debi Vinnedge, Children of God for Life; Doug Scott, Life Decisions International.
